My cousin Menachem

 I'm strolling around Instagram and came across a video of my cousin, Menachem Tucker, broadcasting from a canoe in Miami! My cousin is a top radio broadcaster and TV host in the Israeli religious world and he had broadcast from many crazy places, including from a plane midflight.

His antics have amused and helped many people, but I don’t know him as the celebrity Menachem, I know him as my cousin Menachem. When I first came to Israel, he allowed me to hang out at the radio station and answer the phone lines and even though he is always busy with the countless projects and activities, he always makes time for family and always asks me how I am.

People who know me have asked me if I got my help with my work in journalism from Menachem. The answer is even that though he hasn’t helped me PR-wise, I have learnt a lot from him as a person and I have learnt from his example, that family always comes first.

Family is the most important thing and by looking after our family, we provide a support system that helps them and us feel secure.

Menachem hasn’t asked his bosses to give me a job or interviewed me about any of my articles or the inspirational stories I discover. Neither has he hooked me up with any of the PR people he works with, but he encourages me to succeed and he is happy for me when I succeed.

I once told him years ago that one day I will be more famous then him and I believe that he wants that for me.

So Menachem, thanks for being a great cousin and yes, if you want to interview me, you have my number! I am proud of you for your successes.

short Update

Reflection of a year to Blog

It has been just over a year since I started publishing my blog. I started writing a blog on the advice of Hillel Fuld in order to enhance my career and get more people informed about what I do. Unfortunately, as of yet, that hasn't happened, Hillel doesn't get everything right. But in a way, the blog has become a sanctuary for me to talk about my achievements, air my grievances, and let myself feel better in life. My country is at war

I had written my blog for August and September, they were going to go up very soon but I can't put up trivial things when my country is at war, when my people and friends have been kidnapped and murdered by terrorists calling themselves freedom fighters for Palestine.  Make no mistake Hamas is not Palestine and does not represent any faction of Palestine, they are a terrorist group that cause harm to the Palestinian cause. Any person that harms civilians for their own benefit is evil.
