How to stay positive
Today started with a driving lesson.
Throughout the lesson, my teacher kept on pointing out aspects in driving that I was not focused on. She was right, due to the hard and hectic week I'm having, I haven't been focusing on the important things.
Yesterday, I was talking to an executive of the Jewish Agency who said, "You know Josh, I was talking to your editor, Golan Bar Yosef, in Basel at th 125 years to Herzl celebration and I told him that you have changed the coverage of Diaspora for better.
Talking about my editor, I'm very lucky that Golan is my editor especially the way he acknowledges and supports me and praises me about my work.
Talking of my work, I work for Ma'ariv, one of the best newspapers in Israel.
Talking about Israel, it is a country that fills you with pride for its activities and the way it helps people.
Talking about people, reminds me of my beautiful wife, Esther, who encourages me in all I do.
Two years ago, I proposed to Esther who said yes.
Do you see what I did there?
I turned from the bad time I was having, to think of all the good things in my life.
We all go through bad times and difficulties but by pushing forward and bringing out the positives in life, you can push forward in a better framework.
I was speaking to someone yesterday who heard that as a child, I had a difficult time in class and he put 1+1 together and said, "Wasn't my son in your class? If he hurt you, I hope you can forgive him." I answered that I forgave him a long time ago.
If we don't forgive, we live in the past and this stops you from pushing that wall of discomfort. Once you forgive, you are well on the other side of the wall.
Stay positive!
