Fog
Yesterday, I changed into pyjamas and went to bed. Esther went out to friends.
One of her friends was supposed to drive her home, but suddenly I got a phone call.
There was thick fog and her friend was scared to drive. I got dressed and went out to pick her up.
It was such thick fog, I couldn't see a thing and it got my brain thinking. In life, we sometimes can't see what is right in front of us and in order to move forward, we just have to navigate blind, hoping we get clarity eventually. In order to go through, we must be reflective with our fog lights on. What gets us through fog in life? Our wits and our initiative.
Years ago, I went to the Blind Museum in Holon in Israel and I, as a sighted person, was supported by the guide, a blind man.
This gives me a bit of insight now about Esther's life, as Esther is vision impaired, so there is a lot she can't see.
Every snippet in life can be important for future use, it's how you see it.
Earlier today, a telemarkerter called me from Israel and when she told me that she loves writing, I encouraged her to write a blog. She said she's religious, so doesn't have social media to share. I answered that the sharing is not important , the writing of your feelings and emotions is therapatic and also gives the vision to see more clearly. To succeed one must follow one's dreams, one must follow what that sometimes can't see in order that when the fog lifts, we are clear on the direction one must go.
