Reverse to change....
Today I had a driving lesson.
My instructor was talking about the need for constant observation while reversing.
I thought that is true also in life.
We have to be constantly looking out for obstructions in all paths of life.
Yesterday, I was talking to someone who said it's a small world, so I told her a story: My father told me that once he was in a 'Nesher' shared taxi from Ben Gurion airport to Jerusalem and a rabbi asked the driver to stop on the side so he can quickly pray the afternoon prayer, the driver, a typical Israeli, said no way and grumbled.
The rabbi said no problem and prayed in his seat. As they entered Jerusalem, the driver asked each person where they needed to go and when the Rabbi gave his address, the driver said: oh wow do you know so and so? The rabbi answered: yes, he's my next door neighbour and study partner. The driver said: that's my brother!
The rabbi said: oh wow, it's a small world and the driver answered: no, it's a big world and we have a big god.
When we go backwards, we must observe that things could change, if we look out for the opportunities we might have missed.
My political party crashed out the elections and won't be in power. But we can look backwards and make changes from within in order to change in the future.
Observing the obstructions, remembering it's a big world out there.
Life is not always what it seems, so bad it is what you make of it, you can change things around. Just like the driver who changed the small world to a big world and a big god, we can change to a great life with a special and perspective world.
