My Germany Trip

I'm at Berlin Airport. It’s been a crazy few days: firstly, Saturday was the Manchester Derby and United came back from a 1-0 loss to win the match 2-1. The atmosphere was mental! Everyone went wild with joy!
On Saturday night, I didn’t manage to sleep and at 3 am, I took a taxi to the airport. While waiting in the lounge, I made a new connection with a couple traveling to Athens.
At 6am I took my flight to Munich, and a short connection later, my flight to Berlin. In Berlin, I took an Uber to my hotel, the Crowne Plaza and checked into my studio room.
An Israeli friend, who lives in Berlin, picked me up and we went to the Jewish cemetery. Before the Holocaust, my Grandmother lived in Berlin and her younger brother, Herman, who died when he was two years old, is buried in Berlin.
After much searching, we found his grave and I prayed there. Interestingly, he died in 1923, 100 years ago.
After I toured the Jewish quarter, I returned to my hotel and was so tired that I went straight to sleep. Even though I had a complimentary drink, I was too tired to use it!
The following morning, I went early to breakfast, brilliant food and very tasty, and at 9:30 am took a train to Erfurt. At Erfurt, I met up with Oliver Rolofs, the PR guy who brought me over and we went to tour Hospital Waldkliniken Eisenberg which is the biggest and leading orthopedic university hospital in Europe. It was phenomenal! I have covered a lot of places in my work as a journalist, but this may be in my top places. My piece about the hospital will be published the Ma’ariv newspaper in the next couple of days.
I was driven back to a hotel in Erfurt and slept.
This morning, after another tasty breakfast, I toured Erfurt’s Jewish history with the official tourism board and UNESCO to Manchester.
It’s been a wild journey and in the midst of it I got the good news that I have been granted a ticket to watch the Manchester United away game against Nottingham Forest in the semi-final next week in Nottingham, so something to look forward to!
I hope I will bump into LadBaby at the match, as I know he's a huge Forest supporter and I follow his YouTube channel avidly.
This trip has been insane and I really enjoyed myself.
